DIY Coffee Table Tray

DIY Coffee Table Tray

Hi Crafters! It’s Erin again, back from The Blue Eyed Dove. Late last year I moved into a brand new place which is super exciting, but also a little stressful as I try to figure out how to decorate my new space. Luckily, I knew I wanted to include a lot of gold, navy and Dalmatian print {because when you grow up living with a Dalmatian you kinda get obsessed with everything black and white}. But Dalmatian print isn’t exactly easy to find when it comes to home décor accessories. So I’ve had to be a little creative.

While looking around my living room one day I decided my coffee table needed some sort of cute tray. Then as luck would have it a few days later {while roaming around the clearance isle in Hobby Lobby} I found the perfect tray that just needed the right amount of TLC. Dalmatian print TLC that is 😉

Coffee Table Tray DIY Steps

1. Use paper and tape to cover the inside of your tray. {This will keep spray paint off the bottom of the tray.}

2. Spray paint the inner and outer edges of the tray and let dry.

3. Once dry flip your tray upside down and trace it’s outer edge onto the fabric, and cut out. {Note: Depending on the size of your tray you may need to trim the edges a tad to fit inside of your tray.}

4. Lastly, apply a thin layer of Mod Podge {for fabric or paper} to the bottom of your tray, and then place the fabric on top. Once the fabric is in place add another thin layer of Mod Podge to the top of it to seal. Allow to dry.

That’s it!

Then of course accessorize accordingly.

  1. So cute! I like the gold with that print and shape. Also, I love how you can blend colors and patterns. That is struggle for me. It all looks adorable!
