Hi everyone. I’m Sue Purdy and I blog over at A Purdy Little House, where I love to create and decorate using as little money as possible and flex my DIY skills with tutorials and how-to’s. I’m so happy to be here to show you this fun S’mores Bar I put together recently as a way to celebrate these late summer evenings and enjoy a yummy treat.
I don’t know about you, but I LOVE chocolate and cookies and all things sweet. So a s’mores bar was the perfect evening treat for my family and friends.
Just so ya know, you can’t actually use this type of propane torch for your marshmallows. This one is for ambiance only; we cooked our marshmallows over a wood burning fire 😉
I started out with making a clever chalkboard sign to make it clear to guests what type of dessert is being served.
For this s’mores bar, a variety of chocolate options were used, including York Peppermint Patties, Reese Peanut Butter cups, and good ol’ Hershey’s chocolate.
I used marshmallows in a jar as décor along with some cute scrabble pieces. If we run out of marshmallows on the kabob sticks, we can always dive into these ones. Hooray for functional décor.
Graham crackers were included also (obvi), and for a fun twist, I used some chocolate shortbread cookies as well.
Thank you so much to my friends at My Crafty Spot for featuring my little S’mores Bar. What a great way to spend a late summer evening with friends and family. I hope you enjoyed this post, and don’t forget to check out my blog for more craft, decorating and entertaining ideas at apurdylittlehouse.com.
See you next month my friends,
