Lights make the season. Nothing says, “The Holidays are here!” like twinkling lights reflecting off of sparkling tinsel. There is something about white lights on a house, or the 8 candles in a window, that are like a beacon of holiday spirit in the night. Like a lighthouse, these decorations beckon us home, when the nights are dark and the paths are treacherous with ice and snow.
Santa Belly Paper Flower Ornaments DIY
Hey all! It’s Pauline from Club Chica Circle, and I’m so happy to be back sharing another craft idea this month. I don’t know about you, but our Holiday crafting is in full swing!
HO HO HO! Have you been good this year? No matter, you can be really good with this easy Holiday craft idea.
This is such a great family or classroom craft idea too. It starts with a cool paper flower technique transformed into a Santa belly. Last month I made these cute paper flower turkeys for fun mason jar gift ideas using this same technique.
This is what I used to make these paper flower ornaments:
- Holiday red patterned scrapbook paper
- Gold glitter self-adhesive foam
- Black self-adhesive foam
- Wood circle (at least 2″)
- Baker’s twine
- XACTO knife or scissors
- Glue gun
- Clear tape
DIY Mason Jar Christmas Luminary
There’s nothing sweeter than the soft glow of Christmas lights in the house during the holidays. That’s what I love about this project, it’s a beautiful way to carry that warm, merry feeling to the rest of the house.
