Navy & White Spring (and Summer) Wreath

Simple DIY Navy & White Wreath for Spring and Summer | View From The Fridge for My Crafty Spot

Another wreath?!?  Yep … I’m back again this month with another simple wreath idea.  It’s a looks a bit summery … a bit nautical … and perfect for my navy and white living room!

And …. this one might just be the simplest wreath I’ve made yet.  In addition to the wreath form, you need ribbon, more ribbon, and some stick on flowers from the craft store (or even Target).  That’s it!  5 minutes tops!

SUPPLIES:

Here’s exactly what you’ll need to make this:

  • 14″ Styrofoam wreath form from the craft store
  • 2″ navy and white striped ribbon.  I used exactly one spool for this wreath.
  • This new fancy denim ‘ruffled’ ribbon from Michael’s (have you seen their new denim craft items … so cute!!).
  • Pre-made stick on flowers.  These came from Michael’s too … scrapbook aisle.  You could also make your own from fabric scraps.  For instructions on that … hop on over to THIS TUTORIAL.

PROCESS:

And here’s how easy it really is:

  1. Wrap striped ribbon around wreath to completely cover the wreath form.  I simply secured the ends with double sided tape, but you could use hot glue … or even a thumbtack.

  2. Add you ruffled denim ribbon to one section (or as much as you like) as shown:Simple DIY Navy & White Wreath for Spring and Summer | View From The Fridge for My Crafty Spot

Now, you could totally leave it just like this (sans flowers).  I contemplated this …

But if you’re loving the flowers (or if you need to add in an accent color), stick ’em on (or glue or pin ’em on).

I used a piece of corduroy fabric that I happened to have on hand to hang the wreath.  You could really use any fabric here or even more ribbon:

Hang the wreath (and feel good about your 5 minute craftiness for the day):

I added it to my navy/mint mantel decor going on this Spring:

So simple … but perfect for switching things up a bit!

Let’s home this Spring wreath brings with it some Spring weather, huh??

I’d love for you to stop over and say ‘hi’ over on View From The Fridge if you have a minute!

Until next month ….

  1. This is really cute and simple! I just redid my daughters room in navy, pink and green. You can check it out on my blog. I love both ideas you have here. I will have to pin it for when I am ready to change things up a bit!
