Halloween Frosted Mason Jars

Hello again! It’s Jen again from PinkWhen.com.  I don’t know about the weather where you are, but here it is HOTTER than ever here in Louisiana! I am not sure why, but in Louisiana the end of August and September are the WORST months ever. However, that also has me longing for the beautiful fall weather, and to get things started with Halloween. Which is what I am sharing here with you today, super cute Halloween Frosted Mason Jars.

Halloween Frosted Mason Jar Crafts

Here is what you will need for this project:

  • 3 Ball Smooth Glass Mason Jars
  • Americana Brand frost paints in white, orange, and green
  • American Opaque 3D Gloss enamel in black

You should be able to find all of these items at your local store.

Once you have all of your supplies together, it’s time to get started! This is actually a quick 1 hour craft (including drying time), so you don’t have to worry about spending too much time on it.

The first thing I did was clean my jars, and then use my Silhouette machine to cut some vinyl pieces for the jars.  I measured them to be about 4 inches tall and then set them to cut.

After I cut the vinyl, I then attached them to the Mason Jars.

I then took my Americana paints and a foam brush and began to place a nice frosted coat of colored enamel over my jars.  I also painted right over the vinyl.

Once I painted all of my jars, before they were completely dry, I removed the vinyl pieces.

Once the vinyl pieces were removed, I grabbed the 3D black enamel and traced all around my glass. Allow to dry for a few minutes and you are all set!

These are so super cute, and perfect for a halloween party.

You can fill them with candy at a party.

Or you can place a candle in them and use them as luminaries.
