DIY Halloween Cookies in a Jar Gift

There are a lot of reasons that people love fall…from the pumpkin spice lattes, Halloween costumes, and Thanksgiving dinners. One of my favorite things though is the spirit of generosity that slowly creeps in during fall. Maybe it’s the start of the school year that gets people thinking of ways to give back or maybe people are just getting ready for the holiday spirit of giving. Either way, I feel myself wanting to do little fun gifts for people. pumpkins-cookie-jar

All year long, I love cooking and baking. It’s so fun when I get to share that passion of mine with others. So I decided it would be really fun to create these jar mixes to give to some friends. These cookies are easy to make and there is little measuring required since the dry ingredients are already measured out.

This is the perfect gift to give this fall, especially for Halloween! Everyone will be very candied out and probably appreciate a dessert that is not another candy bar.

It’s really fun to spruce up your mason jar with some decorations like a fabric top and kraft paper recipe card.

You can use this easy DIY for any cookie recipe, just layer the dry ingredients in the jar and then include a recipe card so the recipients know what else they’ll need to make their own cookies.

What do you love about fall?
