DIY Floating Candle Centerpiece

DIY Floating Candle CenterpieceHi lovely My Craft Spot readers, it’s Cat from The Rustic Willow here again today to bring you an easy and fun centerpiece project!

I can’t take full credit for this project, though. I’ll have to give that handsome boyfriend of mine credit on this one. You see, my stepmother gave me this absolutely gorgeous turquoise bowl that I’m entirely in love with. And my actual mom gave me these gorgeous flower candles.

I, like a fool, had them separated and had the bowl on the shelf just collecting dust while the candles hadn’t found a home yet.

So, Stephen, the smart fellow that he is, decided to take some of our sand and pebbles and fill the bottom of the bowl. He then filled the bowl about a quarter of the way up with water. Then, he floated the candles on top.

DIY Floating Candle CenterpieceI was so in love! It’s such a subtle yet gorgeous centerpiece.

And then we lit the candles and I was even more in love.

DIY Floating Candle CenterpieceJust gorgeous, isn’t it?!

I think I’ll keep him around for a while.

I definitely think this makes for a perfect spring centerpiece for our kitchen, but I also know that it would make a beautiful centerpiece for a wedding or a centerpiece for a party or special occasion!

So, what you’ll need for this project is:

-1 large decorative bowl
– Sand and pebbles (amount depending on the size of your bowl)
– Water
– 3 floating flower candles of your choice (can be found on Amazon or other various websites)

1. Fill the bottom of the bowl with sand & pebbles
2. Add water to the bowl, about a quarter of the way up
3. Float candles
4. Light candles
5. Love the candles

DIY Floating Candle CenterpieceThanks for stopping by! See you next month 🙂
