Hello Crafters! It’s Erin again, back this month from The Blue Eyed Dove. For the last two months I have been busy moving. Obviously, not moving every single day for the past two months, but once you move into a new space you have to allow some time for unpacking, settling and most importantly figuring out how you want to decorate! So that’s where I’m at right now. Each day my new place seems to feel more like a home {stay tuned there will be lots of new pictures to share over on my blog very soon!}.
Today I thought I’d share one of my latest DIY home décor projects with you…color block coasters!
Supplies:
4 Cork Coasters
Gold, White, Navy & Black Paint
Paint Brushes
Masking Tape, Paper Stencil
Directions:
1. Paint the outer edge of the coaster gold. Allow to dry.
2. Use masking tape or a paper stencil to separate {or cover} one side of the coaster from the other and paint.
3. Once dry paint the other side of the coaster. Touch up the paint where necessary, and let dry. {Repeat steps for the remaining coasters.}
That’s it!
My new home décor colors mainly consist of black, white, navy, gold and gray so that is why I chose to color block with these colors. Any color combination should look great!
Now I can check DIY coasters off my super long settling to-do list…will the move-in madness ever end!?
I sure hope soon 😉
Have a great rest of the month!
