Hello, My Crafty Spot readers! It’s Erin again back from The Blue Eyed Dove.

We have reached one of my favorite seasons of the year…wedding season! This June my sister’s best friend is getting married, so you know what that means…we hosted a bridal shower. I’m a sucker for a good themed party and this shower was unlike any we have ever thrown in the past {think nautical-inspired with a colorful twist}. For this month’s craft I thought I’d share an easy DIY banner that I made for the shower.

DIY Gold Sequin Letters

Hi friends, I hope you’re staying nice and toasty this January. Here in Colorado it’s been freezing and I’ve just been trying to cuddle up under blankets for as long as possible. By the way, I’m Cat from The Rustic Willow and this is my first (of many!) posts on My Crafty Spot and I’m so excited to be here and share one of my favorite projects with you.

So, freezing weather sometimes makes me feel gloomy. Do you know what I mean, or am I alone in this? I’m definitely an outdoorsy kind of girl, and all I want to do is go outside and have a picnic and go for a swim. However, this freezing weather forces me to stay inside the walls of my house all day. What a drag.

But, there’s something about this project that just brightened my day. Something about the sparkly gold sequins and the way the sun reflects off the letters just makes it feel like a happy project. It just instantly brightened my mood.
