Free Printable Cake Topper

Free-Printable-Cake-Topper--My-Crafty-Spot-1

It was my good friend’s birthday yesterday and I wanted to do something special for her so I decided to have a girls night at my house and bake her a cake! Anyone that reads my blog knows I am not a good cook and I am certainly not a good cake decorator. Check out my halloween cake below….. yes… that is the extent of my cake decorating skills. So for this cake I decided to make a free printable cake topper that hangs from dowels. It turned out so good that I wanted to share it with you!!

Now don’t zoom in too close, I don’t want you to see my cutting skills. They are about as bad as my cake decorating skills. But to be fair…. my friends were on their way over, my daughter was screaming because I had crushed her last graham cracker for the cake and  my scissors were covered in sticky residue from my last duck tape project. Soooo… Im hoping if you use this printable your circles come out better then mine 🙂

Nail Polish Marbling – DIY $1 Mugs

DIY Nail Polish Marble Mug

I recently saw nail polish marbling recently on pinterest and thought it was a really interesting concept…. I just had to try it out! So I headed to the thrift store and found these white mugs for 99cents. I just recently had friends in town visiting and we drank A LOT of coffee out of my small little mugs, you know the ones.. they come with the dinnerware set that you register for when you get married. You end up drinking 3 coffees because they are so small? Yeah, those ones. Well I was SO HAPPY to find these large mugs and blank white color was an added plus! Perfect to marble. I just wish I would’ve made these sooner so my friends could have enjoyed them with me.

Materials:

When I was at the thrift store I picked up this plastic tub for $3 which will now be deemed my “official marbling tub” going forward. The tub gets covered in nail polish so it needs to be something you can throw away or use only for craft projects. I had the nail polish left over from my Pretend Makeup For Kids Post and the thrift store mugs cost $1 for the set. I used a finishing clear spray that i already had in my craft supplies. Easy, cheap project!

Slainte: Cheers. In Good Health. Toast that is popular in Ireland. During my last visit to Ireland I picked up many things with Slainte written on them. I heard this toast said many times and I really love it. If you are looking for an easy way to decorate this St. Patrick’s day then download my Slainte Irish Burlap Banner. It is super easy to make and can be hung anywhere. I decided to tie it on my new DIY Grapevine Succulent wreath !

I bought these frames at the craft store for $1 each. When I bought them I had no idea what I was going to use them for but I knew I needed them in my craft inventory. Sure enough…. they were the perfect thing for my husband’s Valentines day gift.
